Plant Watering Schedule

Find how many days to leave between waterings for your plant, pot and season, and how much to give.

How this works

We start from a base interval for the plant type (succulents about 14 days, tropical foliage 7, herbs 3), then adjust: bigger pots dry slower, summer and bright light dry faster (about 25%), winter much slower, and terracotta dries about 20% faster than plastic. Water until about a quarter of the pot volume drains out.
