Raised Bed Soil Calculator

Work out how much soil mix you need to fill your raised beds and how to split it.

How this works

Volume = length x width x height x number of beds, plus 15% because soil settles. A classic mix is 60% topsoil, 30% compost and 10% grit or perlite. Hugelkultur fills the bottom third with logs and branches, so you buy a third less.
